5 Little Words

Jungle Mom has challenged me with 5 words, to describe myself, so here goes:

1. Grand children What can I say. Grand children are the prize for raising your children. I have 8, 5 girls and 3 boys!

Zachary - 16 Noah - 6 Dahlia - 3
Katie - 8 Mollie - 11 Sicily - 9
Josiah - 8 Lily - 4

2. Marriage
Designed by God for the enjoyment of a man and a woman. I've been married to V for over 44 years, and I plan on being with him until death; either his or mine! LOL!

3. Missionaries: We've been privileged to have many missionaries in our family. We have also had many missionary families in our home for meals and lodging. They are always a blessing to us, and we hope we are a blessing to them.

4. Hobby: I've had many hobbies over the years. I've crocheted, knitted, painted, and I like to read.

5. Scripture: My favorite scripture is:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV

My 2nd favorite scripture is:

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
1 John 5:11-13

The 1st John passage is so near to me because I was raised in a church that basis salvation on 'works' rather than faith. When I came to the Lord, these verses became so precious to me, because I know that because of the death of my Savior, Jesus Christ, on the cross means I will never lose my salvation. I am so thankful that I, or you, do not need to 'work' for our salvation. If that is the case, none of us would ever have the assurance of Salvation.

Oh, Sally, I'm sure you are missing your Aaron. I don't know how a mom does it when she loses a child. My prayers go with you!

Gloria, thank you for your friendship. I hate it when sleep eludes, but sometimes it does. Hopefully, tonight will bring slumber until morning!

Ah, Phil, I love you!

Thank you, Jungle Mom, for encouraging me to do this little exercise. Sometimes we get so involved with life, we forget what 5 little words can do for us.

Come back and visit again! :)
