New Car

We are the proud owners of a new vehicle, and I wanted to share it with you. It isn't a brand new one, but it is a lot newer one than the one we've been driving. (It is a 1991 Lincoln Towncar!) Some of our 'new' immigrants will probably drive it until it hits over 300K! If we get as good a run out of this one as we did our Towncar, we will be pleased. I doubt if I am still driving in 13 years, but you never know! I could be like Grandma G and drive until I'm 85! YIKES!

The new vehicle is a Dodge Grand Caravan, the OLD one is the '91 Towncar. There, does that help Carole? Is your confusion settled?

Annapolis, here we come! J, are you ready to learn a new vehicle?

Things & People In .....

This morning when I first got on the computer, I was greeted by a message from my third child, my son J. He just wanted to tell me that he loved me and that I am important in his life. Of course, I told him that I loved him and he is very important in my life too.

I also read this list of things someone has compiled, and it spoke to me, so I'd like to share with you.

I've learned that~
~the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.
~when you're in love, it shows.
~just one person saying to me, "You've made my day!" makes my day.
~having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.
~being kind is more important than being right.
~you should never say no to a gift from a child.
~I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in some other way.
~no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.
~sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand.
~simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.
~life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.
~we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.
~money doesn't buy class.
~it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.
~under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.
~to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
~when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.
~love, not time, heals all wounds.
~the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.
~everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.
~there's nothing sweeter than sleeping with your babies and feeling their breath on your cheeks.
~no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.
~life is tough, but I'm tougher.
~opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss.
~when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
~I wish I could have told my Dad (and my mom) that I love him one more time before he passed away.
~one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.
~a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
~when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, you're hooked for life.
~everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.
~the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

Have a great day, my dear family, and my blog friends. May our LORD bless each of you, and I hope you all have a little $ left after the 'Uncle' got done with you! :)

Don't Judge A Book....

As has been said before, don't judge a book by it's cover. I have seen this video and wanted to share it with those of you who haven't. By the way, I wish I was overweight like she is! You can read more about this amazing woman here.

It Is Finished

Three Things

Today is Good Friday, and the importance of this day is so significant in the lives of Christians. This is the day our Savior gave His life for us. How can we fathom that sacrifice? Many people will give their lives for children, good people, loved ones, their countries, etc, but Who was willing to give His life for sinners such as me? Thank you JESUS for giving your life for me.

As I was reading a devotional this morning, I came across this reading, and wanted to share with my friends. It really has nothing to do about Good Friday, but I thought it was thought provoking.

3. Three Things in Life...

Three things in life that, once gone, never come back:
1. Time 2. Words 3. Opportunity

Three things in life that can destroy a person:
1. Anger 2.Pride 3.Unforgiveness

Three things in life that you should never lose:
1. Hope 2. Peace 3. Honesty

Three things in life that are most valuable:
1. Love 2. Family and Friends 3. Kindness

Three things in life that are never certain:
1. Fortune 2. Success 3. Dreams

Three things that make a person:
1. Commitment 2. Sincerity 3. Hard work

Three things that are truly constant:
1. Father 2. Son 3. Holy Spirit

I ask the Lord to bless you, as I pray for you today; to guide you and protect you, as you go along your way. God's love is always with you, God's promises are true. And when you give God all your cares, you know God will see you through.

Think on these things, and have a good, thoughtful Good Friday.

May the Lord bless you all today.
