Just saw this one~ don't know how I missed it! I was in 6th grade when a mock election was held in my school. Back then, most Southerners were Democrats (funny how that has reversed). Anyway, my mom was Democrat (still is, unfortunately) and I refused to vote that way. Guess I've been a Republican since I was 11 years old. haha I was so picked on for being vocal about voting for Ford. My response, "I don't want a peanut farmer running my country!" The bigger truth was that I was simply voting against whomever my Mom was for. Been rebellious a LONG time! And a conservative, too. :)
