I agree! I've never wanted to take anyone else's money. It's a sin to covet, anyway. The only "assistance" I've ever received is WIC, and as you know you have to be almost destitute to get that. Well, you did 25 years ago.
I had no insurance with my first child and refused to go the charity hospital here. (It was bad back then.) I paid cash to have her and it ended up costing a tenth of our yearly income, but I did it! You can make monthly payments, too.
Wow. That *is* very profound. And leaves me pondering the future of this magnificent country that seems to be rapidly descending.
