A Shocking Revelation

This is exactly how I felt when I had dogs!

As I was sitting here admiring my beautiful babies (the dogs) I began to think about their lives and I realized the following facts about them:

* They sleep about 18 hours a day.
* They have their food prepared for them.
* They generally eat whenever they want, 24/7/365.
* Their meals are provided at no cost to them.
* They visit the vet once a year for their checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise.

For this they pay nothing, and nothing is required of them.
* They live in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than they need, and they are not

required to do any upkeep. If they make a mess, someone else cleans it up.
* They have their choice of luxurious places to sleep and they receive these accommodations

absolutely free.
* They are living like royalty, and have absolutely no expenses whatsoever.
* All of their costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day.
* I was just thinking about all this, when it suddenly hit me like a ton of bricks:

Holy Cow!...my dogs are democrats!

Love it! I never even made the connection! I guess they're gonna have to start EARNING their keep.

I don't have sheep or cows to herd, don't know that boxers would know what to do with that anyway :oj.

Jilly did catch a mouse the other day... does that count?

So what are ya' gonna' do about all them cats that beg for food at the patio door?
Should we do to the democrats what dad does with the cats? (They just don't come back any more to beg)
Is Dad that good with cats where he reforms them?
Maybe he should run for office.........

I guess my dogs are democrats too! That's scary. Maybe I'm going to have to find some work for them to do. Maybe use them for sled dogs or something.

Linda: Thanks for the laugh! And thanks for visiting my blog. Hope to see you again.

Regardless of how much we do for our dogs--they are the best!

Carole: I have a Boxer and she helps my Shepherd mix catch moles, does that count? ;)

Carole, I could have told you about your dogs, but, since they are your 'kids', I guess catching mice is better than nothing!

Phil, I don't think dad will get away with the solution he has with cats, and using it on the Damnocrats!

Barbara, if the dogs can pull a sled, go for it. Of course, you need snow, or mud!

Thanks for stopping by, Hostage! Anything for a laugh! It's better than crying!

Ditto to you, Pam!

Thanks for stopping by, Rev. Gregori! Feel free to use anything you find on my blog, and thanks for the link back!

You all have a great Monday!
