Where Have I Been????

I know it has been a LONG time since I've posted anything. I ended up with a lot of problems with my computer, and when I went to open my blog to do a new post, I kept getting a strange message about buying the domain site of 'How much longer until Barack Obama is gone'. Then, the page just went blank.

I certainly didn't want to buy any domain, but I couldn't post anything either. I don't have any idea about what I was going to post, but I got my computer fixed, paid lots of money, but it is working again. I had some vicious malware, chrome crashed, I couldn't get Windows 10 to do anything, so I finally just took the old gal to the Dr.

It is a good thing that we have a computer fix-it company in our little town. We actually have two companies, but I've done business with Ntronics before, so went to them. It did cost a lot, but it was worth it.

Anyway, we are all fine. Had a great holiday time. The family made it home the 2nd week of November, and that's when we had our Thanksgiving and Christmas. It was beautiful weather. The little ones just seem to keep growing!

Our family keeps getting bigger!

I remember your last comment was when I stopped blogging. I'm doing a test run with a new post just to see if anyone shows up. So many have stopped blogging.

Well. I didn't keep up, that's for sure. I'm glad you stopped by. The year of 2017 was NOT good for us. We started the year in Dec when my nephew committed suicide. That really threw our family for a loop. The all 3 of us had our cataracts removed and Vern also got his glaucoma fixed. The in March we almost lost my twin sister to organ failure. In May, I had a grand mal seizure, at the Library, during the Booked For Lunch program. The basement was packed. (I guess I was taken by ambulance with lights and sirens to the hospital). I don't remember any of it. Then, I found a lump in my L breast, stage 2a cancer. I had a bilateral mastectomy, started treatments, and here we are in 2018. The treatments will take a year, and then I'll have tests, and more tests, to see if there are any errant cells. I only took one treatment of the 'hard chemo'. It made me so sick, fo a month. I told the Dr that if I died in a year, I didn't want to be sick the whole time. I am feeling better, but am taking the treatment that targets the type of tumor I had. All the lymph nodes came back negative, and the surrounding tissue and the R breast was clear.

I need a grandbaby fix. It's been almost a year since we went to Omaha. sigh....

Anyway, I'm glad you stopped by. I know your year hasn't been much fun, either. I'm so sorry you lost your fur baby. Take care of yourself and Joe. In the end, we have our spouses, and if we are lucky, maybe a sibling or two. The kids are around, but not here, if you know what I mean.

God bless you, 'Lotta Joy'. I hope 2018 is a good year for you!

If any of the rest of you who used to follow me see this, God bless you, too!

Hard to believe that it has been almost two years Linda. I am so sorry for all of the pain and sadness in 2017. I cannot imagine how hard things must have been. I can resonate with your feelings about being lucky if we have our spouses. My kids and gKids do come around but it is not the same.

I pray that 2018 will be a good one - for both of us.

Blessings, Bob
