Thanksgiving/Christmas Post

Boy, I had so many good thoughts about keeping up with my blog, telling all (both) of you about what is going on in my life.

I was going to tell you about our Christmas, which took place over Thanksgiving, which we've done for years, but here it is the middle of January, two months after the fact.  Believe me when I tell you we had a blast.  Everyone was home except the  two oldest grandchildren.  They both have jobs, and had to work.

We ate lots of good food, played with the little ones, got lots of kisses and hugs, and cuddles from our youngest, born in August, shopped, and made time to go see great-grandma.  Here's a picture of all of us, including her roommate, Helen.  She asked if she could come with us, and of course, I said, "Yes, of course."  I think they get really lonely in the home, but it is really a nice place for them.

Carole's hubby wasn't with us, he was sleeping.  He was working nights, so he was tired.

Well, since then, we've had Christmas, which we spent here at home with my twin sister and Vern.  We just stayed home and ate broccoli and cheese soup for dinner.  It was a nice, relaxing day.

Now, we've gotten back in the swing of things, and I'm thinking about the future.  I think I'm going to travel.  Here are my 'plans'.  God bless each of you in 2013!  Remember, He is still in control.

My inconclusive travel plans 2013

I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone.

I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.

I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my friends, family and work.

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore.

I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often.

I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.

One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!

I may have been in Continent, and I don't remember what country I was in. It's an age thing.

PLEASE DO YOUR PART!

Today is one of the many National Mental Health Days throughout the year. You can do your bit by remembering to send an e-mail to at least one unstable person. My job is done!

Life is too short for negative drama and petty things. So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

From one unstable person to another... I hope everyone is happy in your head - we're all doing pretty good in mine!

Hey, sis, we already have visited some of those places!

Penny, I know you are busy! How's Leon?

Joanne, congratulations on the new grandbaby. Of course, as my dad used to say, 'It's good to be a new one...not an old one!" What's his name? You know, you really don't have anything to do with how many you get, don't you? We love all of ours!

Linda, my Christmas gift from my oldest girl was a Baby's First Christmas ornament. We are getting a new one the end of August! Mallory's having some complications, bleeding around the placenta, so please pray for her. Her last name is Whittington. Thanks! Leon's fine! He's adding now and just started 3 year old pre-k in August. Such a smart boy!
