Scott Goossen Feb. 25, 1970-Jan. 21, 2014

Our sweet nephew left us to be with his Lord.

Scott was a fun loving, happy man.  He had many friends and relatives who will miss him tremendously.

Please pray for the family as we have his memorial service today.  Pray for peace and grace for all of us that loved and knew him.

We will all miss him!

So sorry, Linda. He's only a few years younger than I am. May God's presence and comfort be felt greater and stronger than before.

Maybe he will meet my daughter who moved to heaven on January 9 2013. I know the pain your family is experiencing. I am so sorry you are having to go through it. Even when we know the Truth, it does not lessen the pain of separation. I pray for peace and comfort for the entire family.

We made it through the memorial service, and visiting with lots of people. It is sad that a funeral is what brings so many family members together, but as I've said before, 'people miss weddings, births, birthdays, graduations, etc, but not funerals.' I think it is because we realize how short our time is, and we need to keep those connections. We had a lot of tears, but also laughter. It was fun remembering Scott. He was, and is such a special person. The pastor said something that really put it into perspective. Scott just changed his address! I loved that.

Gramma, I'm so sorry for your loss, too.

Thoughts and prayers for you, his and your family. It's a hard thing to go through especially when they are this young.
