We went to Omaha over the weekend of the 13-16 of February, and during that time I celebrated another birthday. But first, we went on Thursday because of the forecast for a snow storm. We were very glad we went then, because on Friday, Omaha had around 10" of snow. Well, all the schools were closed, and if we'd been smart, we would have stayed home and played games, but, no, we went shopping. You know, you have to have your priorities right. We went to Sam's, and the store was almost empty. Then we went to Wal-mart, and they were almost empty too. It is really nice to shop when the stores are empty.
Well, the main reason we went to Omaha was because the kids, P & T, had a hot date for Valentine's day. They got all 'dolled' up...
Grandpa and I read to the kids, and then put them down for the night. They went to bed so nicely for us. I think we only read about 6 stories!
While we were there, the rest of the grandkids that live in Omaha came over to see us too. Since M celebrates her birthday a week after mine, we had a special chocolate cake....
As you can see, there weren't near enough candles, but if they'd all been put on, the fire department would probably have been called!
All the grandkids gathered around grandma so we could have a picture taken....
We had a great time playing a game of checkers:

Glad you had a fun birthday. I only counted two little boys out of those seven. How many kids do YOU have and what are they?
I'm glad you had a fun birthday, too, Mom!
Nice blog post!
Great summary of a great weekend!
I really enjoyed your post. At least you got home so we could at least see each other on our birthday. I enjoyed the cake too.
Happy Birthday! Sounds like you had a nice birthday. I couldn't get your newsbusted site to work. Nothing shows up there.
